The location was superb; 1.4 km from Dukezong ancient city and a short walk to the White Pagoda Temple and the bus stop to take Bus 3 to Songzanlin Monastery. Service was exceptional. We arrived at the resort at about noon and was immediately checked-in without hesitation. A staff offered to walk us to the nearby bus stop. When we asked to delay our check-out to 12.30 p.m the reception staff replied "Oh, you can even check-out later if you wish" The lobby was beautiful. Our Twin Room comes with 2 large beds and was so cozy. The buffet breakfast was great and has a wide variety.

Beautiful decor - Tibetan style yet not overtly religious. Still with Shangri-La’s signature scent in the lobby. Modern and comfortable rooms. Excellent location within 15mins walk to the Old Town. Service was personalised and staff were very helpful. Breakfast spread was great.

the mini fridge in our room was locked! A suprise for a 5 star hotel. We called for them to open. But they didnt turn up. And we had to call again. Air cond was not cold in the roo,

Definitely the best hotel to stay when in Shangri La. The facilities were clean and staff were really friendly and helpful. They have good selection of breakfast and dinner.

Breakfast and dinner buffet fantastic. Especially if you have been in the mountains for some days for hiking. Then it's amazing with all the good food:-) The service and staff did an amazing job. We had a Wonderfull stay.

Excellent staff, especially the front desk manager, Becky, was extremely helpful and professional. The breakfast buffet and lunch options were great too.

Shangri La was really cold this time of year. We switched hotels from somewhere freezing. Staying in Shangri la in Shangri la is a great option. On check in our room was upgraded to a room with a great view. it was lovely to watch the CNY fireworks from our room. Staff at this hotel are great they would top up our water (we needed lots of hot drinks to stay warm). I would recommend this hotel a lot.
